2006 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Tart, fairly polished nose, soup stock, cassis and candied cherries, delicate floral and some earthy notes, touch of herbs and malted notes. Cool, fairly juicy, preserved fruit, predominantly cherries, herbaceous notes, cedary traces, tart aromas of dried soup greens, slightly jammy, light acid bite and more herbaceous notes, touch of sugar candy, fairly prominent, slightly dusty tannins, providing additional bite, cool elements, persistent, good depth, still undeveloped, very good finish.
