Fairly firm in the mouth, mature fruit, fine, slightly sandy tannins with good presence, more chestnuts, wilted flowers and some leather, plus undergrowth and mushrooms, cool mineral notes on the palate, roasted aromas, elegant acidity present, very good depth and length. Particularly traditional style, will probably not appeal to all, but improves over several days and really shows its potential with food.
