2020 Barbera d'Asti DOCG "Casa Scarpa", Piedmont, Italy

Clear, tart, rather dark fruity nose with a little dry herbs, hints of tobacco and leather. Polished, fine-juicy, tart fruit, fine, youthful tannin and some acidity bite, good persistence, herbal nuances, a little black olives and a hint of pepper, also salty-mineral tones, has polish, very good, firm, again tart-juicy finish. Very much wine for the money.
