2019 Leithaberg DAC Ried Altenberg Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Slightly smoky, a hint of animal and nutty scent of predominantly black berries with slightly ethereal herbal and peppery notes. Clear, almost cool, tangy, taut dark fruit, slightly smoky notes, some coffee and vegetal nuances, crumbly tannin, some acidity, persistent on the palate, a little sour cherry and juniper, delicately smoky, still young, very good, taut, again tangy-juicy finish with herbal tones.
