2018 Leithaberg DAC Ried Gritschenberg Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm, slightly meaty-animalic aroma of predominantly black berries with some tobacco and smoky wood aromas, peppery tones and a hint of juniper. Tight, clear and polished, tangy fruit, smoky, peppery and juniper aromas, some acidity, youthful yet very fine tannin, dense and persistent on the palate, good depth, quite complex spice, elegant style, very good, lively, fine-juicy, quite fresh finish with salt, fine spice and herbal notes.
