2020 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

A somewhat leathery and dried-meat scent of initially more red, then increasingly also black berries with earthy nuances, a bit of underbrush, lavender, a hint of cherries, blood, and dried flowers. Tart fruit with nutty and slightly smoky wood notes, present, somewhat drying, fine sandy tannin, good sustainability, dried herbs and flowers in the background, again earthy tones, very slight tomato hints, a bit of ash, and a touch of salt, gains juiciness with air, very good, quite firm, tart, again slightly drying finish.
