2018 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Clearly animal nose of ripe mixed berries with a hint of plums, allspice and cigar tobacco, earthy tones and bark mulch. Ripe, somewhat jammy fruit, present, somewhat drying tannins, smoky and tobacco nuances, a hint of root vegetables, a certain power and persistence, good to very good, somewhat warm finish.
