2015 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Vigna Piaggia, Tuscany, Italy

Tart, very slightly open, dried-vegetable, a little reminiscent of foliage and tobacco, also a little undergrowth with tart berry tones, a hint of cherries and mineral nuances. Taut, juicy, ripe fruit, noticeable bite, present, ripe, youthful tannin, some cocoa-spicy and slightly toasty wood flavours, lasting, a lot of power, but also a certain freshness, a trace of smoke and bacon, hints of salt, good depth, very good, firm, tangy and spicy finish, again with noticeable acid bite
